Paragliding, hang-gliding and abseiling are popular off Table mountain and Lions Head.

Scuba-diving gives you the opportunity to explore reefs, caves and caverns, kelp forests, shipwrecks and rich sea life. Great white sharks are the apex predators of the oceans and Cape Town is one of the shark cage diving capitals of the world. Sharks are iconic and magnificent creatures. Experience a great white shark up close and personal with a shark diving or shark viewing tour. Visitors can  scuba dive with sharks at the two ocean aquarium.

Cape Point kayaking can be enjoyed around Cape Town’s most beautiful bays and beaches including Hout Bay, Noordhoek, Kommetjie, Scarborough, Glencairn, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg. Beginners or advanced skill levels are welcome. Sea kayaking is a unique Cape Town activity and one of the finest things to do on the Cape Point Route especially seeing the African Penguins from the water in Simon’s Town.

There are a number of Cape Point surfing locations, so hire a surfboard and a wet suit and go surfing! Take the plunge from Muizenberg Beach known for its gentle sloping white beach and consistent waves, making it conducive to surfing, kite-surfing and land-sailing.
